Georgette Young, DAOM, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M., is a graduate of the Pacific College of Health Sciences in San Diego, California where she received both her Master of Science and Doctoral degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She has extensive training in Classical Acupuncture, Chinese Medical Herbology, Clinical Nutrition, Asian Bodywork, Tai Chi, and Chi Gong. Her post-graduate training is in Oriental Reproductive Medicine, Women's Health & Fertility, Acupuncture Orthopedics & Integrative Sports Medicine Rehabilitation.
Before practicing Oriental Medicine, Georgette also worked as a Holistic Health Practitioner & Body-Centered Therapist specializing in Pain Management & Stress Reduction since 1992. Her therapies include various styles of therapeutic massage and bodywork, counseling, somatic-emotional release, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Bioenergetics, Conscious Breath-Work, Thai Yoga, Meditation, and two branches of the Vedic Sciences: Ayurveda, and Jyotish.
Integrating the best of all worlds, Georgette masterfully blends the classical wisdom of East Asian Medicine and Ayurveda with the contemporary insights of Mind-Body Healing. The main system of acupuncture channel theory utilized in her clinic is that of The Balance Method, I-Ching Acupuncture, and Master Tung's lineage all of which are deeply rooted in classical Chinese medicine.
Georgette also serves as the Secretariat of the European Traditional Chinese Medicine Association (ETCMA) in addition to being on the executive committee for the World Federation of Acupuncture & Moxibustion Society (WFAS) with the main mission of promoting Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Europe.
She also maintains her private practice in Athens, Greece where she collaborates with dozens of IVF clinics and OBGYN’s and Fertility MD’s in the Medical Tourism industry integrating Acupuncture with Western Assisted Reproductive Therapies (ART) for patients traveling from abroad.
